📘 2. Core Concepts — भिन्न एवं दशमलव की पूरी Theory
🔹 Layer 1: भिन्न (Fractions) के प्रकार
भिन्न दो प्रकार के होते हैं — Proper (उचित) और Improper (अनुचित)। मिश्रित भिन्न (Mixed) भी CTET में frequently पूछा जाता है।

💡 Exam Tip: CTET में “Which of the following is a proper fraction?” या “Convert 7/3 into mixed fraction” जैसे direct questions आते हैं। इन्हें कभी न गलत करें।
🔹 Layer 2: Operations on Fractions
जोड़ (Addition) और घटाव (Subtraction): हमेशा LCM (लघुत्तम समापवर्त्य) लेकर denominators को equal करें।
Example: ⅔ + ¾ = (2×4 + 3×3) / 12 = (8+9)/12 = 17/12 = 1⅚
गुणा (Multiplication): Numerator × Numerator, Denominator × Denominator.
Example: ⅔ × ¾ = (2×3)/(3×4) = 6/12 = ½
भाग (Division): दूसरी भिन्न का reciprocal (उल्टा) लेकर गुणा करें।
Example: ⅔ ÷ ¾ = ⅔ × 4/3 = 8/9
🎯 HACK: भाग के प्रश्न में “÷” देखकर तुरंत “reciprocal multiply” करें — इसी से PYQs में 1 mark बचता है।
🔹 Layer 3: Fraction ↔ Decimal ↔ Percentage
CTET में fraction को decimal में बदलना और decimal को percentage में बदलना बहुत पूछा जाता है।
- Fraction → Decimal: Numerator ÷ Denominator
- Decimal → Fraction: दशमलव के बाद के अंकों को numerator रखें, denominator में 1 के साथ उतने zeros (जितने decimal places) लगाएँ।
- Decimal → Percentage: × 100
- Percentage → Decimal: ÷ 100

“Which of the following is the largest fraction? 5/8, 7/12, 3/4, 2/3”
✅ Solution: सभी को decimal में बदलें: 5/8=0.625, 7/12≈0.583, 3/4=0.75, 2/3≈0.666.
सबसे बड़ा = 0.75 (3/4). सही उत्तर 3/4 है।

✅ Solution: 2.5 – 1.25 = 1.25 litres.

🔑 MNEMONIC — “LCM से दोस्ती”
जब भी भिन्नों का जोड़/घटाव करें, पहले LCM निकालें। याद रखें: “Like Fraction, Direct Action; Unlike Fraction, LCM Attraction” — जब denominators unlike हों, तो LCM से दोस्ती करें।
