Special Education

D.El.Ed in Special Education is a 2-year RCI-recognized diploma that trains teachers to work with Children with Special Needs (CWSN) across four specializations: Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Hearing Impairment (HI), Visual Impairment (VI), and Multiple Disabilities (MD).

Unlike the general D.El.Ed, this course carries a 60% practical training component — clinical practicum in special schools, resource rooms, and inclusive classrooms — alongside core theory in disability assessment, assistive technology, and Individualized Education Programs (IEP).

Graduates can apply for Special Educator PRT posts (DSSSB, KVS) and, after meeting bridge-course requirements, general PRT positions too — making this a flexible route into government teaching, backed by a valid RCI Registration Number (CRR).
