Understanding ASD as per the ICF Paradigm
Explain the ICF framework in ASD
Question (10 marks): Explain how the ICF framework helps educators understand functioning in ASD.
Answer — World Health Organization का International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF)
Main components
- Body Functions and Structures:
Worked Example
Differentiate capacity and performance
Question (4–5 marks): Differentiate between capacity and performance in the ICF.
| Basis | Capacity | Performance |
|---|---|---|
| Influenced by | Task conditions और assessment setting | वास्तविक support, barriers, social expectations और context |
Apply the ICF approach in school assessment
Question (8 marks): Explain how a special educator can use ICF in an educational assessment.
Steps in an ICF-informed assessment
Worked Example
Quick Revision
