Curriculum Development: Lifespan, Context-Based Learning, Neurodiversity and Strengths

Autistic learner के लिए curriculum planning केवल वर्तमान class की academic requirements पूरी करने तक सीमित नहीं होनी चाहिए। Learning goals व्यक्ति की उम्र, बदलती responsibilities, daily life, interests और future aspirations से जुड़े होने चाहिए। Lifespan approach, context-based learning, neurodiversity-affirming practice

Lifespan Approach

Lifespan approach मानती है कि learning, support needs और life roles समय के साथ बदलते रहते हैं। Early childhood में communication, play, early learning और daily routines महत्वपूर्ण हो सकते हैं; school years में academic access, social participation और self-advocacy के goals बढ़ सकते हैं; adolescence में identity, privacy, independent travel, vocational exploration और transitions अधिक relevant हो सकते हैं; adulthood में employment, higher education, relationships, health, community participation और chosen living arrangements महत्वपूर्ण हो सकते हैं।

School से higher education, vocational training, employment या community-based adult services तक transition में केवल academic records भेजना पर्याप्त नहीं हो सकता।

Context-Based Learning

Context-based learning में concepts और skills को ऐसे examples, activities या environments से जोड़ा जाता है जहाँ वे meaningful हों। यह learner को केवल isolated response याद करने के बजाय knowledge को use करना सीखने का अवसर देती है। Context real-life setting हो सकता है, लेकिन role-play, simulation, photograph, video या structured classroom task भी context-based learning का हिस्सा हो सकते हैं।

Neurodiversity-Affirming Curriculum

Strengths-Based Curriculum

Strengths-based planning में assessment evidence जरूरी है।

Curriculum Review
